5th Slope Editions Chapbook Contest

The winner of our 5th Annual Chapbook Contest is The Body Beside Herself by Julianne Neely. Snag your copy today before they’re sold out!

Slope Editions is happy to announce our fifth chapbook contest! Our chapbooks are carefully designed works in themselves that pair innovative poetry with beautiful presentation. To that end, as we read the submissions, we allow ourselves to imagine the ways that the poems will become physical objects in our hands. That isn’t to say the poetry can’t be ethereal.

Deadline: September 15, 2017

Entry fee: $12 (to be paid via Submittable at time of submission)

Manuscript Format: Slope Editions only accepts electronic submissions via Submittable. Please submit 18-30 pages of poetry as a Word document or PDF, formatted in standard US letter size (8 &1/2" by 11") page. Include a title page (literally- just a title) and an acknowledgments page, if applicable.

**Please note: This will be a blind reading, so please do not put your name anywhere on the manuscript. We’ll stop reading it, and that makes us sad. Don’t cut yourself out of the running with that easy mistake. Don’t make us sad. Or do, but not because we can’t publish you.
