Sam White

White

Sam White graduated from Colby College with a BFA in painting, and earned an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers Workshop. He has published poems in such journals as The Boston Review, The Paris Review, The Harvard Review, Ploughshares, American Letters & Commentary and elsewhere. Slope Editions released his first book, The Goddess of the Hunt is Not Herself, in 2005. He co-founded and coordinated the Jubilat Reading Series in Somerville, MA, and was featured for reading poems to passersby in Times Square in Poets & Writers. He has received fellowships from Vermont Studio Center and the MacDowell Colony. At work on several new books, he teaches at the University of Rhode Island.
