Franz Wright is the author of Wheeling Motel (2009), the Pulitzer Prize-winning Walking To Martha's Vineyard (2004), and numerous other books. He is currently Visiting Poet in Residence at Brandeis University in metro Boston, MA.

The winning poet will have his/her book of poems published in 2011 or 2012 by Slope Editions. He or she will receive free copies of the book in lieu of royalties, which are no longer offered, and $1,000. Last year's judge was Dara Wier, who selected Crystal Curry's Our Chrome Arms of Gymnasium. All entrants receive, with SASE, a copy of Tara Rebele's And I'm Not Jenny (Slope Editions, 2005) with their entry fee.
